Core Belief
He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 NRSV

LOVE FOR GOD
To love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and mind is the foundation of a relationship with God. God’s grace inspires and drives our heart, soul, and mind to will the body into action. Jesus’ willingness to offer himself for us creates in us a desire to reciprocate the same heart to offer ourselves to God. We express this in our commitment to worship Him through words and obedience. Only through this foundation can we continue building a relationship with God. With this desire, we commit to discovering his will through His word (the Bible). To love God is to love his will and the Bible is where we find it. As we discover more of God, our heart is naturally inclined to love Him more.

LOVE FOR EACH OTHER
Devotion to each other is completing our experience with God. We do not believe the two are separate. Out of humility we realize we need one another and we commit to building each other up. We also realize that the church is made up of sinners and hurt is unavoidable, but Jesus has set an example for us to follow and we give of the vast amount of grace we have received for the sake of realizing Jesus’ dream of unity (John 17:20-23).
